Fear or anxiety

In moments of fear we may question God’s presence. The text shows God’s ongoing provision and protection even when we doubt.

Trust and promise

Trust grows as we remember God’s promises and his power to fulfil them, and as we recall what God has done for us through His Son on the cross.

Provision in need

God provides in the moment of need, showing his care and presence.

Facing the battle

There are times we must persevere in struggle, trusting God to protect and empower us.

God with us

The overarching message is that God is present with his people through his power and his promises, to preserve his reputation. So that no man will be without excuse that He is God.

The rock that endures

Jesus is the enduring rock who accompanies believers, because the spiritual rock that accompanied the Israelites was Christ, and today Christ remains the rock of his people, always among us, and the Spirit dwells in those who believe.
