Terms & Conditions
Draft — this document is a structural placeholder pending final review by Commodexa's attorney and is not yet in force. It will be replaced with the reviewed version before launch.
These terms govern use of the Commodexa Exchange platform by all sellers, buyers and warehouse partners.
1. The platform
Commodexa Exchange ("the Platform") is operated by Commodexa (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa, and connects verified commodity sellers with verified buyers. The Platform facilitates listing, discovery, request-for-quote negotiation and deal tracking; it is not a party to any trade concluded between a buyer and a seller.
2. Accounts & verification
Every account is tied to a registered business. Access to listing, quoting and trading features requires manual document verification (CIPC registration, FICA/KYC documents and, where applicable, sector licences). Commodexa may suspend or reject an account at its discretion where documentation is missing, expired or inconsistent.
3. Trade workflow
Trades proceed through a structured request-for-quote and negotiation workflow inside the Deal Room. Commodexa records the resulting document chain and audit trail but does not guarantee delivery, quality or payment outside the workflow it provides.
4. Fees
Commission and fee structures are disclosed to sellers before a listing goes live and are confirmed in-platform at the point a deal is accepted.
5. Liability
Commodexa is not liable for losses arising from a trade between a buyer and a seller, save where required by South African law. Disputes are handled under the Dispute Policy.
